v PADI

For the Advanced Open Water diver who is now feels quite comfortable with the diving the next step is the Rescue Diver course. So far your diving education has focused on you as a diver, the rescue course is aimed at accident prevention and
handling and what to do in the unlikely case of an accident. This is usually the course where most students really feel you have taken a big step forward. A lot of what you have learned during the OW and AOW courses suddenly takes on an extra dimension. The rescue diver course takes place both in the classroom, on the beach and from the boat. Apart from accident prevention you also do a lot of accident scenario training. Most possible scenarios are thoroughly practiced and you will gain a lot of confidence knowing that in the unlikely event of an accident you will know how to handle the situation.

The rescue course is fun, very useful and quite physically demanding. In order to gain certification you must have completed a CPR course and have a certificate no more than 24 months old. If you do not have this certificate you can do the Medic First Aid (MFA)course with us, this is a general CPR course and not just for divers.
To do the rescue course you need 3 days and if you need to do the MFA this requires one more day.
