Maya Lanta, Best Western Resort
A couple of years ago a new style resort was opened right on the beach at Klong Dao. While being built it looked like a monster and we must admit that we were not looking forward to seeing it finished. How wrong we were, this small hotel is a lovely place and Mr. Nice (yes, that is his name) the manager, has made a great job of turning it into a wonderfully peaceful and nice resort, right on the beach. All rooms have sea view and especially from the top floor rooms (there are only two stories) the view is breath taking. The resort has a nice restaurant and a small pool. We do not recommend this resort for families with young children but it is the perfect place for a romantic stay or for a honeymoon.
