Lanta Villa Resort
Lanta Villa is run by brother and sister Pitak and Chawee and is one of the resorts we have been working with since we first started running Lanta Diver in 1999. There is something very special about the ?old? resorts and Chawee is such a lovely person. She wants to do the best for everybody at all times and sometimes gets quite upset when ALL guests can not have the best bungalows at the same time. The fact that Lanta Villa has been around for many years does not meant that it is run down in any way. Over the years the old bungalows have been exchanged for newer and larger modern bungalows, they are all very nice. For the larger families there are connecting bungalows which means you will get a small house to yourself with two large rooms, bathrooms and a double veranda. All bungalows have A/c, hot water, TV and fridge. For those who do not want ?sand between their toes? there is a pool right next to the restaurant. To be honest, the food in Lanta Villa?s restaurant was not it?s strong point until a couple of years ago when something dramatically changed and now we go there quite often in order to enjoy the good food and atmosphere. According to our guests who stayed there last year even the breakfast (usually a weak link as Thais do not eat breakfast themselves) is very good, indeed.
When booking bungalows at Lanta Villa they do not like to say which bungalow is actually booked, unless they are the beachfront ones, which means you might end up quite far back or right at the front. This has sometimes been a cause for discussion and something we would like to see changed, however, Lanta Diver?s guests are often miraculously moved forward and always very well looked after.
