Also run by a Thai family and a well known resort on Lanta. Very cozy, very friendly and a great plus for the restaurant (try their duck dishes!) which is located right by the beach and a great place to sit both day and night. A few years ago Golden Bay rebuilt most of their bungalows and the new ones all have ac, hot water, fridges and TV. Golden Bay can not see the reason for a swimming pool as they are located right by the beach where the beach is at it?s very best. Makes quite a nice change from the pool hysteria which seems to have Lanta in its grip since a few years back. The owner Khun Chumpon and his family will be around and you will be very well looked after by Mr Chop who has run the resort many years and who, together with the rest of the staff do a great job in looking after their guests.
